However Ukrainian forces "luck" was not so good on the eastern side of the Velyka Novosilka sector, as assault operations on Urozhaine and Novodonetske had failed.
Russia did however managed to achieve some success west of Staromaiorske in a counter attack to create more buffer zones for the critically important town.
